Dayton South Veterinary Clinic

Dayton South Veterinary Clinic was founded by Dr. Aubrey Wyatt in the fall of 1977. The original practice was located on the corner of Stroop Road and Wilmington Pike in a small renovated gas station and car wash. In late 1994 Dr. Daniel Brauer purchased the practice from Dr. Wyatt. The summer of 2000 Dr. Brauer purchased a piece of land at 3200 Wilmington Pike and built the practices current home.

Dr. Daniel Brauer is a 1991 graduate of  The Ohio State University's College of Veterinary Medicine program. He did his undergraduate at Wright State University. Dr. Brauer is a first generation American in his family of German descent. He grew up in Belmont, Ohio. Dr Brauer has always had a love for animals and has had lots of pets growing up. He currently shares his home and farm with Tabitha & Bianca his great danes. Also on his farm he has black angus, chickens, turkeys and much wildlife in the process of rehabilitation. When not working he spends most of his time on the farm caring for the animals as well as gardening and landscaping. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Ohio Veterinary Medical Association, Miami Valley Veterinary Medical Association, and Association of Avian Veterinarians.

Dr. Gary Dickerson is a graduate of  The Ohio State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. He also did his undergraduate studies at Ohio State University. Dr. Dickerson began practicing veterinary medicine in 1977 in Boulder, CO before returning to the Ohio in 1981. He joined Dayton South Veterinary Clinic in 2006. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Ohio Veterinary Medical Association, and Miami Valley Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Lauren Schumacher  is a graduate of The Ohio State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. She did her undergraduate studies at Wright State University. Dr. Schumacher grew up in Kettering and started working at Dayton South Vet Clinic in high school as a kenneler and vet assistant. She returned as a veterinarian upon graduation from vet school. Dr. Schumacher shares her home with 3 dogs (2 beagles and a miniature wire haired dachshund) and 2 rabbits. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Ohio Veterinary Medical Association, and Miami Valley Veterinary Medical Association.

Carolyn has been a technician at Dayton South Vet Clinic since 1977. Carolyn grew up with the practice. Carolyn also works at Grandview Hospital in Dayton as a RN, but continues to work for Dayton South because of her love of animals. She shares her home with her 2 standard poodles, Ben and Bridgette.

Katey has been a receptionist at Dayton South Vet Clinic since 1998. She shares her home with her husband, son and dog. (Lou a boxer). When not working she enjoys spending time with her family.  In 2013 became Office Manager.

Sandra RVT has been at DSVC since Aug, 2013.  She became a RVT Nov. 2013.  Sandra shares her home with her husband, Steven, 3 cats, 1 dog, and a groundhog.  When not working Sandra enjoys spending her time with friends and family.  Sandra also loves zoo and museums.  She volunteers at The Boonshoft Museum when not working at DSVC.

Deanna has been a RVT since March 2015.

Kelsea has been a vet tech assistant since June 2015.

Eimile has been a kennel attendant since April 2014.

Jade has been a kennel attendant since June 2014.
